A rash is defined as any area of the skin that is irritated or swollen. We diagnose and treat all types of rashes, which include: atopic dermatitis (ezcema), psoriasis, allergic contact dermatitis, rosacea, autoimmune disorders (lupus), seborrheic dermatitis, and those caused by bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Common symptoms of rashes often include itchiness and pain, though some patients may experience blistering, bleeding, scaling, and skin thickening in more severe cases. While some rashes are mild and can be safely treated at home, you should seek immediate treatment if the rash is growing in size, if you are experiencing severe symptoms, or if the rash is interfering with your daily activities in any way.
